| Boxing Day Dip 2007 and Christmas Holidays |
That time has come around again, presents unwrapped, Christmas pudding downed, and the swimming costumes are dusted off from summer. That's right the Boxing Day Dip returns for another instalment.
On Wednesday 26th December 2007, 200 (Torquay) Squadron Air Training Corps cadets, ex-cadets, staff and friends are lining up along Corbyn Head beach, outside the Grand Hotel Torquay in fancy dress ready to raise some money for new Squadron equipment. This year's fancy dress theme is "Super Heroes and Villains" just to add to the fun. After everyone has convinced themselves they have had enough of the cold everyone heads over to the Grand Hotel swimming pool and Jacuzzi to warm up, followed by drinks and pasties in the Royal Air Force Association Club on Scarborough Road.
The event begins at 11.00am so all participants are expected to arrive between 10.30 and 10.45.
It is a much anticipated event of the year and it is hoped that as many people possible will attend to join in or if you’re not so brave come along to watch anyway.
Secondly, please note that the Squadron is closed over the Christmas period. The last parade night of the year will be Thursday 20th December 2007 and the first night of 2008 will be Tuesday 8th January 2008. Have a good Christmas and a Happy New Year everyone! |
